Joshua 19

CHAPTER 19

Simeon's Lot

1And [⁴came forth ¹the ³lot   ²second]   to Simeon, to the tribe of the sons of Simeon, according to their peoples; and [²was   ¹their inheritance] between the lots of the sons of Judah. 2And [²was ³to them   ¹their lot] Beer-sheba, and Sheba, and Moladah, 3and Hazar-shual, and Balah, and Azem, 4and Eltolad, and Bethul, and Hormah, 5and Ziglag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah, 6and Beth-lebaoth, and   their fields; [²cities ¹thirteen] and   their towns. 7Ain, and Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; [²cities ¹four] and   their towns; 8and all the properties round about   these cities unto Baalath Beer Ramoth going towards the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their peoples. 9From the lot of Judah was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, for it was that  the portion of the sons of Judah was greater than   theirs; and [⁴inherited ¹the ²sons ³of Simeon] in the midst   of their lot.

Zebulun's Lot

10And came forth the [²lot   ¹third]   to Zebulun according to their peoples; [⁴will be ¹the ²borders   ³of their inheritance] unto Sarid. 11And [²ascend   ¹their borders] unto the west, and Maralah, and it joins together at Dabbasheth, and meets at the ravine which is at the face of Jokneam. 12And they return from Sarid right opposite from east of Samis, unto the borders of Chisloth-tabor, and it shall go through upon Daberath, and shall ascend to Japhia. 13And from there it shall go around right opposite eastwards upon Gittah-hepher and Zin, and shall go through to Remmon Methoar to Neah. 14And [²shall go around ¹the borders] towards the north unto Hannathon, and [²will be   ¹their outer reaches] unto Gai Jiphthah-el, 15and Kattath, and Nahallel, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Beth-lehem. [²cities ¹Twelve] and   their towns. 16This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun according to their peoples,   their cities, and   their towns.

Issachar's Lot

17And to  Issachar came forth the [²lot   ¹fourth], to the sons of Issachar, according to their kin. 18And [²were   ¹their borders] Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem, 19and Haphraim, and Shihon, and Anaharath, 20and Rabbith, and Kishion, and Abez, 21and Remeth, and En-gannim, and En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez. 22And [³joined together ¹the ²borders] at Tabor, and at Shahazinah, and Beth-shemesh; and [⁴will be ¹the ²outer reaches   ³of their borders] the Jordan, [²cities ¹Sixteen] and   their towns. 23This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar according to peoples, and the cities and   their towns.

Asher's Lot

24And came forth the [²lot ¹fifth] to the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their peoples. 25And [²were   ¹their borders] Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph, 26and Alammelech, and Amad, and Misheal, and it shall join together with  Carmel by the west, and   to Shihor, and Libnath. 27And it will turn from the east of the sun and Beth-dagon, and shall join together with  Zebulun and unto Jiphthah-el, according to the north of Beth-emek and Neiel, and shall go unto Cabul from the left, 28and Akran, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah unto [³Sidon ¹the ²great]. 29And [³shall turn ¹the ²borders] to Ramah, and unto [²city ¹the fortress] of the Tyrians; and [³shall turn ¹the ²borders] to Hosah; and [²will be   ¹his outer reaches] the sea, and it shall be from the measured land of Achzib, 30and Ummah, and Aphek, and Rehob; [²cities ¹twenty-two] and   their towns. 31This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Asher, according to their peoples,   their cities, and   their towns.

Naphtali's Lot

32And came forth   to Naphtali the [²lot   ¹sixth], to the sons of Naphtali according to their peoples. 33And [²were   ¹their borders] Heleph, and Allon to Zaanannim, and Adami, Nekeb, and Jabneel, unto Lakum; and [²were   ¹their outer reaches] the Jordan. 34And [³turned ¹the ²borders] unto the west to Aznoth Tabor, and it shall go from there unto Hukkok, and it shall join together with Zebulun from the south, and Asher will join it  towards the west, and Judah of the Jordan from the east sun. 35And the [²cities ¹walled] of the Tyrians -- Tyre, and Hammath and Rakkath, and Chinnereth, 36and Adamah, and Ramah, and Hazor, 37and Kedesh, and Edrei, and the spring of Hazor, 38and Iron, and Migdal-el, Horem, and Beth-anath, and Beth-shemesh; [⁴cities ¹ten ²and ³nine] and   their towns. 39This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali according to their kin, and the cities and   their properties.

Dan's Lot

40And to the tribe of the sons of Dan according to their peoples came forth the [²lot   ¹seventh]. 41And [⁴was ¹the ²borders ³of their inheritance] Zorah, and Eshtaol, city Shemesh, 42and Shaalabbin, and Ajalon, and Jethlah, 43and Elon, and Timnah, and Ekron, 44and Eltekeh, and Gibbethon, and Baalath, 45and Jehud, and Bene-berak, and Gath-rimmon. 46And towards the west of Me-jarkon and Rakkon, whose border was neighboring Japho. 47And went forth the border of the sons of Dan. And [⁴went ¹the ²sons ³of Dan] and waged war   against Leshem, and overtook it, and struck it by the mouth of the sword; and they inherited it, and they dwelt it, and they called the name Lesen, Dan, according to the name Dan   their father. 48This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Dan, according to their kin,   their cities, and   their towns.

Joshua's Lot

49And they completed   to divide by lot the land unto   their borders. And [⁴gave ¹the ²sons ³of Israel] a lot to  Joshua son of Nun among them, 50by the order of the lord. And they gave to him the city which he asked -- Timnath-serah, which is in   mount Ephraim. And he built the city, and he dwelt in it. 51These are  the divisions which [⁴divided by lot ¹Eleazar ²the ³priest], and Joshua the son of  Nun, and the rulers of the families among the tribes   of Israel, according to the lots in Shiloh before the lord, by the doors of the tent of the testimony. And they went entering into the land.
